A pool in Kayamandi is no longer just a want, but a necessity. Children and adults alike deserve the opportunity to learn how to swim without having to worry about their safety or having to travel long distances. Drownings are no longer rare occurrences, but seem to be becoming more and more frequent as children are forced to find somewhere to cool off and resort to swimming in dangerous dams and other bodies of water. This project cannot wait any longer.

While Kayamandi Sports Development intends to work alongside the Stellenbosch Municipality in this project, the Municipality will only be in charge of maintenance costs, therefore the capital required to build the pool itself must come from donations.
